Every month, usually on the last Saturday of every month, we hold an Alcohol awareness class as a sentencing requirement for NSYC defendants charged with minor consuming. We need Youth Court volunteers who would like to help out by presenting information, giving input and/or researching topics about alcohol and its effects. If you would like to help out or have any questions, please give Michele a call at the Youth Court office, 457-6792.
What: Spring 2010 Attorney Training Class
Where: West Valley High School, Room 224
When: March 22nd- April 14th, Monday and Wednesday evenings only, 5 - 7 PM
Students will need to provide their own transportation. Curriculum materials will be provided.
This training will end with a Mock Trial Clinic and Swearing-in Ceremony on Saturday April 17th, from 10:00am – 3:30pm at the Rabinowitz Courthouse. This is the only time the courtroom will be open to the public, so bring your cameras!

The instructor will be Marc Steiner, a nationally recognized authority on parent-teen mediation. Youth who successfully complete this training and become members of the Mediator Corps may co-facilitate mediations involving issues between parents and teens.
